I have always loved this video!  Yes, the bird and woman in this clip are hilarious, but let me “nerdy” it up a bit more.  How interesting is it that the bird changes its inflections as it’s talking?  We know that parrots can mimic sounds, but do they understand that the delivery of those sounds, posed in different ways, can alter intent?  I care for a cockatoo, whose exclamations of “hello” become more and more desperate as she seeks attention.  My own cockatiel, Sydney, will whistle louder if he wants to be visited. I think they know!
